After enjoying their Wisconsin retreat designed by DGIA 20 years ago, these cherished clients asked us back to do a total renovation. First order was to create a better flow so we removed the door to the lower level and opened up the staircase with a custom-designed iron railing. The kitchen was gutted and replaced with beautiful white glass upper cabinets and a bar area was added in place of a pantry.A linear fireplace was installed and clad with exquisite granite and a floating hearth where the homeowners can relax and enjoy Wisconsin cozy winter evenings. A beautiful handmade area rug and amorphic wood cocktail table are the focal points in the two-story living room. All bathrooms were updated with the highlight being the master with a walk-in shower and beautifully tiled walls. Truly an awesome getaway from the hustle of Chicago.
